Beginners Tips (Volume 1 - Choosing or Buying the first Camera)

Dear Readers,

I would like to provide you one stop solution for your all gear needs here in my below blog:

The first problem any Photographer faces is to choose his camera and equipment, so not wasting much of your time I would like to come straight to the point and the answer goes below:

Any Camera would go fine, depend which type of photography you want and yes the most important thing is your budget. Please don't over budget, just buying expensive gears won't make you a best photographer. Now you would be certainly surprised by my previous answer, yes I know it, the same was my reaction when I realized this. A recommendation on which specific camera a beginner should buy is 100% not the same for everyone, as everyone wants to photograph their imagination in different way, also it depends on type of photography you are into (i.e. Wildlife, Wedding, Street, Portrait, Landscape, etc.). Yes the most important thing for a photographer is to imagine what he wants to convey by image that is captured, and not by the equipment he/she is using. Whenever you go for buying an equipment consider 70:30 ratio, go for 70 on your lenses and 30 for cameras, as lenses are for lifetime and camera's you go on upgrading with time and requirement you are into.

Here i am listing some of camera details:
  • Compact Digital Cameras: This are also called point and shoot cameras. This type of cameras does not have manual setting functions like Aperture, Shutter Speed & ISO. Also this cameras will have decent zoom range, but you can't change lens if you need longer or wider focal length.

  • Advance Digital Cameras: This are same as Compact Digital Cameras, but here you can have control over manual settings like Aperture, Shutter Speed & ISO. This type of cameras also include Image Stabilization (helps to improve photos that would be lost due to camera shake). This type of cameras also don't offer lens changing options.

  • SLR & DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex): This cameras provide facility to change lenses as per requirement of photographer. Also they give full control over manual operations and thus can give you best of your photo needs. This also have wide range from Entry Level DLSR to Professional DSLR.
